Appurtenance Locations
The Appurtenance Location command provides the means to locate bridge deck appurtenances such as parapets, medians, sidewalk and railings. Appurtenances are stored and managed in the Appurtenance Library.
Locating parapets defines the travel-way along the bridge deck for live load analysis (see the Loads section for more information). In addition, locating appurtenances on the bridge deck adds superimposed dead load (DC2 loading) for analysis purposes.
Appurtenance loads are currently applied to the underlying members using uniform distribution.
| Setting | Description |

| Add | Press the Add button to add a new appurtenance to the bridge model. |
| Delete | Press the Delete button to delete the currently selected appurtenance. |
| Save DGN | Press this button to export the Appurtenance locations 2D model to MicroStation DGN file format, including layers. Save the DGN file in the desired location and once the export is successful you can browse to file location and open/view in MicroStation. |
After appurtenances are defined in the dialog, press OK button and 3D main view will be updated with new defined appurtenances." Additionally all DC2 loads for each appurtenance are updated on the structure (see the Loads) command.
